Introduction to the Study on ZEAL

No, this study won’t do anything for us on it’s own! Zeal is formed from relationship with the Lord and in a community of believers. Through five days, the text here will give us a foundation, but it’s up to us to seek zeal and ask for it from the Lord in our life. At Full Count, we train for an eternal crown, and relationships take work. You may know what zeal is and are now living in that kind of relationship with God, but it’s never a bad thing to revisit scripture and ask for more!

We all need rekindling at times. Don’t feel ashamed if you’ve been in a weird place. Let this be a time of rejuvenation and beginning of something great. Do you believe that you’ve arrived in your relationship with God already? Let it be our prayer as a ministry that we all have zeal to see baseball players, far from God, impacted and transformed into leaders in Full Count in their own circles and communities – for more baseball players to catch the flame!

You’ll see that every day has a definition of the word being studied, a song, a scriptural highlight, a reading, prayer prompts, and reflection questions. A challenge for you would be to do this daily and then share your thoughts, answers to the prompt questions, and your own prayers with other men this week and the weeks to come. Let these ideas sink into your soul, be transparent, allow the Holy Spirit to work in us, and it will benefit us all! God bless you as you walk through zeal. Let it be the beginning of something great!

God bless you! Let’s pull together and let the Holy Spirit cultivate the flame!

So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

For zeal for your house has consumed me, and the reproaches of those who reproach you have fallen on me.
