Jeff Newman

Jeff has been a residential real estate agent in the Birmingham area for the last 20 years.  He also coaches 9th grade baseball at Vestavia Hills High School. Jeff grew up in Mobile, AL and graduated and played baseball at Samford University. He has been married for 20 years to his wife Lauren who also graduated from Samford University and grew up in Gadsden, AL. They have 2 boys - Jacob who is 17 and Wesley who is 12.

Jeff was returning from his first international mission trip to Nicaragua in September of 2019 and ran into Carter Reese and Adam Spates at the airport in Miami.  He had just landed from a mission trip and his prayer was to find a way to use baseball to do something internationally and also in his community......and after one conversation with them, a dinner with Jacob Oldham, and going to the Full Count banquet, he began looking for opportunities to serve in the ministry.  He shortly started a Full Count DGroup in October in Vestavia.

Jeff’s favorite bible verse is James 1:2-8 because the idea of trials and perseverance - making us complete and allowing us to grow - should give us strength as we go through this world, whether times are tough or not.
